How do you determine packaging?
Each object is assessed based on size, value, and material to determine the best type of packaging for the chosen transportation method.
-
Items will be packed with similar items
- Example: Two paintings will be packed in 1 box, whereas a chair and a necklace will be packed in their own boxes
-
Arta considers the packaging space between and around items
- Example: Two 3” cups will not be packed in a 3”x6” box, there is padding in the middle and surrounding each cup and lining the box.
-
Packaging materials are to keep the items safe, and as affordable as possible.
- Example: A 3” glass vase can be transported in a double-walled padded cardboard box, but a 30” glass vase would require a crate.
Sellers provide the dimension data used to provide rates. This should include information about piece count, overall size and materials.
