DDP
Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) is an option to pay customs duties, taxes and fees at the time the shipment is booked or confirmed.
You may see this option on a seller’s website, Arta’s checkout or receive an email after the shipment is confirmed asking you to choose your delivery option.
DDP may be required or optional. DDP expedites customs clearance because costs are already paid. Carriers will not need to contact you via phone and you will not need to submit payment through their portals. DDP avoids additional fees related to storage and handling while customs processes your shipment. DDP also nearly eliminates shipments being returned to sender if payments are not remitted promptly.
If DDP is not selected and paid in three days, the shipment will revert to Standard Delivery, also known as Delviered Duty Unpaid (DDP), and you will be contacted upon the shipment’s arrival into your country.
